The Golden Globes 2016: 2 Makeup Looks We Love
If you love to get your glow on, the Golden Globes are your thing. The red carpet is a-glitter with Hollywood's hottest strutting their stuff and showing off their great taste. The award season is a great time to get inspired and try something new.
We picked our two favourite looks from the Golden Globes 2016 red carpet: both with glowing skin and a light touch. One features a pretty bronzy eye, the other a subtle red lip. Both are perfect for day or evening.
When doesn't J.Law look pretty and approachable? This look is so polished and classic, it was one of our absolute favourites.
To copy Jennifer's look:
1/ Start with clean and prepped skin, then smooth cream foundation all over, blending gently with fingertips. We like: Kjaer Weis Foundation.
2/ Use a cream blush and luminizer duo to add colour and glow to cheeks. Apply to fingertips and blend onto apples of cheeks. We like: Vapour Beauty Aura Multi Use Radiant Blush in Intrigue.
3/ Sweep a wash of warm medium brown powder shadow across eyelids to just above crease using a fluffy shadow brush. Be sure to use a light touch here. We like: Hynt Beauty Perfetto Pressed Eyeshadow in Rosy Velvet.
4/ Apply a cherry red lipstick to lips, dabbing gently straight from the tube. Blend along lip line with finger, creating a soft lip line. We like: Ilia Lip Conditioner in Crimson & Clover.
So sophisticated and subdued, this look was a hit in our book of Favourite Makeup Looks Of All Time. Sparkling eyes, glowing skin and a pretty pout. What's not to love about it?
To copy Alicia's look:
1/ Using a creamy shadow pencil in a bronze tone, or sun-kissed golden, line and colour in the eyelid. Smooth and blend with a fingertip. We like: Ilia Beauty Silken Eye Shadow Stick in In Between Days.
2/ Using a cream bronzer, softly apply a line along the crease of the eyelid, then blend well into shadow. Apply a touch of bronzer under cheekbones as contour. We like: Tata Harper Very Bronzing.
3/ Finish by applying a light layer of pink lipstick to smooth, prepped lips with a brush. We like: Kjaer Weis Lip Tint in Bliss Full.
