The Benefits of Beautiful Food In and On Your Body

 While I’ve been passionate about green beauty for close to ten years, it wasn’t until last year that I decided to completely embrace a plant-based lifestyle. It was one of the best choices I have ever made not only for my health and the animals, but also for my skin! Since changing to a plant-based diet, my irritable acne-prone skin finally cleared. I never thought I’d see the day! Hippocrates once said, “Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food.” I believe that food, when chosen correctly, is a form of medicine. It helps keep us healthy by providing the nutrients our body needs. With that being said, here are three foods I can’t live without and the incredible affects they have on the body both internally and externally!

Fruits are a staple part of my diet with my favourite being super sweet and delicious mangoes. This vibrant fruit reminds me of when I lived in sunny Florida, where I’d fill up on some of the most luscious produce in the world. Mangoes aren’t just tasty; they also have their share of health benefits. They contain vitamin C, which helps keep the immune system strong, as well as vitamin A, an essential vitamin for eye health.
